This is a solution that helps our prepaid mobile customers to easily buy mobile Voice or Data Packages on credit basis, anytime and anywhere.

  • When your airtime balance is low
  • When a top up option is unavailable nearby and
  • When you run out of money to top up.
  • Active prepaid  mobile service customers,
  • Customers whose service number is not barred, blacklisted, or suspended,
  • Customers who have fully paid their previous airtime credit.
  • All prepaid mobile customers who have been on Ethio telecom network for at least three months with a minimum airtime recharge history of 15 birr per month.

  • Yes, you can transfer airtime balance only.

  • Package credit service is a solution that helps prepaid mobile customers to easily buy mobile voice or data packages on credit basis anytime and anywhere.

  • All prepaid mobile customers who have been on Ethio telecom network for at least three months with a minimum airtime recharge history of 15 birr per month.
  • Being active prepaid mobile service customers - customers who is in barred, blacklist or suspend status are not eligible for this service.
  • Customers who have fully paid their previous credit.

  • Dial *810# OR  send A, L, C to 810 via SMS
  • From the menu insert 5 for help
  • Insert 1 to check eligibility
  • You will then receive a notification about your eligibility.

    • You will pay back your outstanding amount when you recharge your balance or receive airtime from others. If the current recharged amount is not enough to pay the credit amount, the system will deduct additional amounts from subsequent recharges to fully cover your credit.

    • Using telebirr App – if you are a telebirr App user, you can get credit amounts starting from 1 up to 250 birr usable for airtime/package purchases. For more information please, visit https://www.ethiotelecom.et/telebirr/buy-airtime/
    • Using USSD-  Dial *810# and follow the instructions. OR
  • Using SMS - Send A, L, C to 810 via SMS and follow the instructions.

  • 10% service fee will be chargeable on your next airtime top-up or from the airtime transfer you received from a third party.

  • Using USSD - dial *810# --> select 5 for help and input 2 to check debt balance. OR
  • Using SMS - Send A, L, C to 810 via SMS --> reply 5 for help and reply 2

    • No, first you have to settle all your outstanding credit.
