  • All active prepaid, postpaid & hybrid residential mobile users are eligible for the services.
  • Fixed line, Data only SIM, Machine to Machine and CDMA services are not eligible to use Friends & Family offer.
  • Unlimited package users (Unlimited data, voice and SMS users) will not be eligible to use the service as a member but can be registered as owner.
  • Multiple Family service/package/ purchasing are possible by one owner for his/her member. (Owner could purchase both voice, data or bundle package for the existing members)
  • The owner has to be permanent and cannot use more than 50% of the package resource from the available Family Group packages.
  • Friends & Family package owner can able to create a group, add, modify and delete members at any time by using My Ethiotel mobile APP & at Point of Sale. Assigning resource quota with daily, weekly and monthly level is possible via all channels.
  • Subscription is free till the defined member limit (5 members) but to add more members in the group, Admin or account owner shall pay 5 Birr per member. A maximum of 15 members (including owner) will be allowed in the group.
  • Up to five-members a 25 Birr CUG rent will be paid by Family group subscriber.
  • The account owner registered for bundle plan for the group shall be responsible for the monthly rent.
  • The service subscriber must have enough balance (for prepaid) or credit limit (for postpaid) in their account in every beginning of the month (Bill cycle). If not the Friends & Family offer will not be active.
  • Account owner can unsubscribe/deactivate via My Ethiotel mobile APP or visit nearby shop.
