Ethio telecom, driven by the aspiration to go “beyond connectivity,” remains dedicated to realizing the vision of a digital Ethiopia. In line with this commitment, Ethio telecom has signed a smart fire and emergency management solution implementation agreement with the Addis Ababa City Administration Innovation and Technology Development Bureau. This strategic agreement between Ethio telecom and Addis Ababa City Administration Innovation and Technology Development Bureau will enable to modernize the emergency support system to significantly reduce emergency response time, increase data collection and feedback delivery capacity, for fast interconnection of various branch outlets with main solution center, implement cost-effective and remote emergency support. It will also allow for modernizing the emergency procedure, providing effective and efficient emergency response, and providing demand-based infrastructures optimization that can significantly reduce injuries of emergency cases and increase the required capacity through the deployment of new features integrated technology solution. This agreement will address challenges related to fire and emergency management solution implementation and implement unified communication (contact center), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), integration of field emergency response staff with a Mobile CAD application and vehicle management for enhanced emergency related tasks. According to the agreement, Ethio telecom will build and deliver a full-fledged quality and efficient smart emergency contact center solution management; and ensured 24/7 system operation implementation by deploying efficient professionals.
In addition, our company will provide training and SLA support as well as system configuration and set up along with continued post implementation supports for end-to-end emergency services contact center solution by deploying cloud services and PAAS licenses so as to modernize fire and emergency solution management.
Recently, Ethio telecom signed similar agreements with the Addis Ababa City Administration and other several institutions to deploy technologies and digital solutions, including the Addis Ababa Smart City project. Our company would further strengthen these technology and service deployment initiatives with a view to revolutionize service provisioning, ease the lives of citizens, and enhance the day-to-day business activities of customers for realizing a vision of digitalizing Ethiopia.
