ኢትዮ ቴሌኮም ከተለያዩ የባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር በቴሌኮም መሠረተ ልማቶች ላይ እየደረሰ ያለውን ጉዳት ለመከላከል የሚያስችል የውይይት መድረክ አካሄደ
ኢትዮ ቴሌኮም በቴሌኮም መሠረተ ልማቶች ላይ እየደረሰ ያለውን አደጋ ለመከላከል፣ እንዲሁም በጉዳቶቹ መንስዔና መፍትሔዎቻቸው ላይ ትኩረት ያደረገ ውይይት ታህሳስ 30 ቀን 2012 ዓ.ም. የኢ.ፌ.ዴ.ሪ የሕዝብ ተወካዮችና የፌዴሬሽን ምክር ቤቶች አባላት፣ ጉዳዩ የሚመለከታቸው የመንግሥት ባለሥልጣናት፣ ታዋቂ ግለሰቦች፣ የሐይማኖት አባቶች፣ የሃገር ሽማግሌዎች እና ሌሎች ጥሪ የተደረገላቸው እንግዶች በተገኙበት አካሂዷል፡፡
በውይይት መድረኩ ላይ የቴሌኮም አገልግሎት በአንድ ሀገር ሁለንተናዊ እድገት እንዲሁም በዜጎች የዕለት ተዕለት እንቅስቃሴ ላይ የሚጫወተው ሚና ከፍተኛ በመሆኑ ሁሉም የህብረተሰብ ክፍል የቴሌኮም መሠረተ ልማቶችን በአግባቡ በመጠበቅ ኃላፊነቱን ሊወጣ እንደሚገባ በአጽንኦት ተገልጿል፡፡
በአሁኑ ወቅት ከፍተኛ መዋዕለ ንዋይ ፈሶባቸው በተዘረጉ የቴሌኮም መሠረተ ልማቶች ላይ እየደረሰ የሚገኘው አደጋ በአገልግሎት ጥራት፣ በአገር ሃብት እንዲሁም በኩባንያው ገቢ ላይ ከፍተኛ ጉዳት ማድረሱ የተገለፀ ሲሆን በ2012 በጀት ዓመት አጋማሽ ብቻ 547 አደጋዎች የደረሱ ሲሆን በዚህም ምክንያት 100 ሚሊዮን ብር የሚደርስ ጉዳት መድረሱ ተገልጿል፡፡
ተቋሙ ቀደም ሲል ችግሩን ከመሠረቱ ለመቅረፍ ሁሉንም ባለድርሻ አካላት ያሳተፈ በመከላከል ላይ የተመሠረተ፣ ጠንካራ እንቅስቃሴ ለማከናወን በማቀድ በአዲስ አበባ ከተማ አሥሩም ክፍለ ከተሞች ጉዳዩ ከሚመለከታቸው 750 በላይ ከሚሆኑ የመስተዳድርና የጸጥታ አካላት ጋር ውይይት ያካሄደ ሲሆን በ2012 በጀት ዓመት የመጀመሪያ መንፈቅ ዓመት ደግሞ ከአዲስ አበባና ከክልል የተወጣጡና ከ170 ሺህ በላይ ለሚደርሱ የኅብረተሰብ ክፍሎች የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫ መድረክ ማካሄዱ ተገልጿል፡፡ በቀጣይም ኩባንያው መሰል የውይይት መድረኮችን በተለያዩ የሀገራችን ክፍሎች ህብረተሰቡን ማወያየቱን አጠናክሮ እንደሚቀጥል አስታውቋል፡፡
ኢትዮ ቴሌኮም ከቴሌኮም መሠረተ ልማት ጥበቃ ጋር በተያያዘ ባደረገው ጥናት የኮፐር ኬብል ስርቆት፣ ማህበረሰቡ ስለ ቴሌኮም መሠረተ ልማት አነስተኛ ግንዛቤ መኖር፤ ለአጥፊዎች አስተማሪ ቅጣት ሳይሰጣቸው መለቀቅ እና መሠረተ ለማት ላይ እየተደረገ ያለው ስርቆት ባሕሪውን ቀያይሮ ከተራ ስርቆት ወደ ተደራጀ ሌብነት መቀየር እንዲሁም የታጠቁ ኃይሎች በጥበቃ ሥራ ሠራተኞች ላይ የሚፈጽሙት የግድያ ወንጀል በመሠረተ ልማቶቹ ላይ ከጊዜ ወደ ጊዜ እየጨመረ መምጣት ዋነኛዎቹ ምክንያቶች እንደሆኑ እንደሚያመላክት ተገልጿል፡፡
በተጨማሪም በውይይት መድረኩ ኀብረተሰቡ ያልተቆራሪጠና ጥራት ያለው የቴሌኮም አገልግሎት ተጠቃሚ መሆን እንዲችል፤ የሕዝብ እና የመንግስት ሀብት በሆኑና ከፍተኛ የውጭ ምንዛሪ ወጥቶባቸው በተዘረጉ የቴሌኮም መሠረተ ልማቶች ላይ የሚደርሰው የሰው ሰራሽና ተፈጥሯዊ አደጋዎች በመከላከል እንዲሁም ሆን ተብሎ ጉዳት ሲደርስባቸው አስፈላጊው ሕጋዊ እርምጃ እንዲወሰድ በማድረግ ሁሉም የበኩሉን እንዲወጣ የመፍትሔ ሐሳብ ቀርቧል፡፡

Ethio telecom holds high-level telecom infrastructure security forum
Ethio telecom held Telecom Infrastructure Security forum on 09 January 2020 in the presence of members of both the Houses of Peoples Representatives and Federation, high government officials and other stakeholders.
The objective of the forum was to create awareness towards the ever-increasing telecom infrastructure damages throughout the country and to call upon all the concerned parties to discharge their responsibilities in protecting these highly valuable infrastructures.
An in-house study conducted recently revealed that in the first half of 2012 Ethiopian Fiscal Year, 547 damages occurred which translate to about 100 million Br loss. Ethio telecom is closely working with all concerned throughout the country to protect telecom infrastructure destructions.
Major factors identified by the study on telecom infrastructure destructions are: lack of coordination among different infrastructure development actors, lack of ownership by the community, inadequate focus from security personnel, insufficient penalties and lawlessness, dynamic criminals’ tricks and the rise of organized armed groups.
The damages on telecom infrastructures are seriously affecting the country’s economy and service quality which results in customer dissatisfaction and revenue loss. Ethio telecom strongly demands all stakeholders to protect telecom infrastructure and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
